Mesa Boogie Hollywood has the Mini Recto!!

Hey everyone, longtime lurker here In case anyone wanted to try it out, Mesa Boogie Hollywood has the new Mini Recto (and cabs) in stock. I just checked it out yesterday and it's very cool. Little guy packs a nice punch.

How loud is it? Can it hang with a drummer? I assume so, given that Mesa 25 watters are generally fairly loud.

Sorry, my phone had died at that point an was unable to get any photos. I actually was just passing through and had not intended to stop there. But I had the idea of talking about having them repair my rackmount Rectifier and see when the mini Recto would be out.

As it turned out, the little halfstack was sitting on display in clear view as soon as you walk in. It might look a little funny in the photos, but in person it is very, very cool. The design is super compact physically, but also the tones available are pretty good too. The cleans were nice and the tones were pretty much dead on rectifier sounds. Plugged into a larger cab and there's plenty of thump. The difference in tubes IMO make for a nice change. There's still plenty of that trademark Rectifier punch, it's just a little more tame on the bottom end, in a good way.
