Hello, my first post. My brother gave me a 1983 mark2 SR combo. She lived a hard life at bars and god knows whatever else. He got in trade years ago for some work he did for guy. Hey have it too me if I would start playing guitar again, been years lol. My brother is a drummer. She’s been packed up and being sent to mike for service. It has the rp9c board in it. I can’t wait to hear what it sounds like when she comes back . I was told 8 weeks and possibly might be able to have the loop mod done too it.
I know it doesn’t have the geq on it, anybody got a geq pedal they would recommend?

I’ve seen the Mesa one, has anybody tried something different. I still have a mxr 10 band eq. I kept a few things over the years. I didn’t get a chance to play it much, it blew 2 fuses and I called it quits. Decided to let the pro go over it and get it back to factory specs.

Can anybody tell the date? I see 1983, I don’t know if that’s a D . I see 16 on it. It’s a 107**.

Looks just like mine from October 81.
Even a GE7 is just fine. But the mesa 5 band should be almost exactly what you would find in the amp.

The frequencies on the Mesa are different from other graphic eq’s, it’s got its own vibe going on. My other amps sound more “Mesa” with that thing if that makes any sense

I appreciate the responses. I know Mesa makes heads, but anybody on the forums make heads? Thanks
