Mesa Boogie MKIV combo??

Can any of the combo amps be pulled out of the cabinet and put into a headshell?

I'm looking at a MKIV combo but would prefer to pull the amp out and put it in a head format.

Yup, they all can. I think there's 2 sizes, short head and medium/long head. Just get the right one for your combo size and you're good to go!

They make a rack mount kit too.

Yeah, you will have to get the right rack mount kit, the MKIV is deeper than the others...if not you will have a 1/2" gap on the top that is not covered.

Boogie sells the headshells for a couple hundred, correct?

I think they are three and change probably closer to four with shipping. I got mine from GTS on the Boogie Board. He builds them stock and also does custom wood and finishes. I could not give my combo cab away and was considering cutting the top 10 inches or so off and adding a new bottom so it was the correct height of a headshell.
