I might go for this...... Which actually does look classy as fuck with the offset combo IMO, take off the Peavey logo, put some casters on the bitch and be set. Future carbon fiber tweed meets old school 50s tweed plus the T75 and V30 combo is pretty dope.

Or...... Take logo off and add casters...... It's shorter than the Peavey cab but wider..... And black on black..... This is about a bit taller than if it were half of the 412 EVH cab and pretty much half a 412 EVH cab so not small and pretty well sized regardless. Dual UK/MIE 70th Anniversary G12H30s for the cherry on top in a pine/birch cab.

Fuck or maybe go for the 112 Bad Cat Era Cab...... Matching black matrix grill cloth And get a second one down the road and have a mini stack going..... Looks nice and it's matching sort off :dunno:

The G-Flex is a beastly 2x12.
Honestly...... It's ugly as fuck but probably one of the best cabs ever made based on the design and build.

Not sure what speakers these use but yeah overall the cab is a pure beast.

But honestly...... Fuck...... I've never tried it but if I'm planning on spending this much dough already....

And if I can get it at a good price..... Given opportunity cost and that I also have other 16ohm speakers I've been wanting to try forever like my G12C/Jimi Hendrix speakers or my 70th Anniversary G12H30 all in 16ohms......

Since this cab has dual V30s to begin with at 16ohms wired in parallel...... It gives me a foundation to build upon my stash of speakers or to add or change it..... And it's a MIA/Built in the USA cab....... So you know it's good quality.....

Hell I might just wait out on getting the matching cab for this amp for the right price....... Given the opportunity cost vs these other cabs..... it's not a small difference in price and they are all great cabs I've tried mostly all of them at some point..... But if I can get it at the right price may as well go for the matching Bad Cat Lynx 212 Cab as someone else mentioned earlier.

It's got nicer dimensions than most other 212s and as said wired with dual 16ohm speakers in parallel at 8ohm so I can use my other stash of of 16ohm speakers mentioned too finally......

And well yeah...... We all know the skinny on 16ohm speakers vs 8ohms...... Not that one is better than the other but you know.....you know ; )

Plus that combo looks nasty in a good way  :dunno:

Yeah I mean there is that too......

I guess I kind of wanted to save with the Peavey or EVH cab and well I don't think they are so bad. I know the Peavey is Chinese but the ones I played sounded pretty damn good and was surprised money aside they sounded pretty quality.

But considering a Mesa with V30s right may as well get the Bad Cat Lynx Cab.

I kind of wouldnt be let down with the Peaveys tbh as the ones I played sounded great with a mini 6505.

The amps already a big expense and as good as good as the Bad Cat cabs may be for playing at home don't justify the additional expense at that point. The Mesa 212 Compact is as much as Id be willing to spend.

Hell honestly may not even go 212 and go 112.

I thought I would need a 212 to move sufficient air but the Katana Artist Mkll Combo with the Waza speaker is providing more than enough air, movement etc etc for my needs and it's only a 112 configuration.

I may very well just get a Mesa 112 Openback/Closed back with a BlackShadow or a V30 tbh thinking about it now but yeah or a Badcat 112 Cab with their undoped V30 or a regular V30...... Maybe just get the 112 Bad Cat cab for my needs in that case tbh :dunno:

Honestly? :poke:

The G-Flex is a beastly 2x12.
Heaviest tones I ever recorded were with a Peavey 5150 Cab and a G-Flex. We even mic'ed the ports.

G Flex cabs easily the closest I have come to a 2x12 sounding like a 4x12. I bought it thinking save space and easier load in/out. Saved a little space but just as heavy as a 4x12.

Fine product though, especially with a speaker upgrade. I pulled the grill and painted the baffle board black. Was eventually going to replace the metal grill but a friend loved that cab and bought it from me. Was going to use black grill cloth and white piping, it would have looked alot better. Had planned on getting a Genz Benz faceplate and putting in one of the corners. If I ever saw one local used again I'd probably buy it.

There's been a super clean G-Flex 4x12 on local Marketplace for $350. My wallet says yes, my back said no.

I voted for the Peavey 212 Tweed with Vintage 30 and 75.

I think that will look best, especially for your hard earned dollar.

Yeah honestly these are fantastic quality.

Played one and it's great utility, great quality, great sound, exceptional quality. Great cab and plenty of power too.

All things aside this would probably be the cab I go for aside from many of the others. It's just no frills, gets the job done, great tone and construction plus the features are great too. Convertible open/closed back with mono and stereo options.

And yeah with this amp and it's carbon tweed and offset with that Peavey Tweed 212 cab...... It looks pretty killer on top of it. It would look killer with any head as a compliment as the Tweed look is so killer and unexpected yet welcomed with most heads that have black aesthetics.

Plus you are only one V30 away with these from swapping out the T75 with a spare V30 on 8 ohm if you have or wish to aquire one to run dual V30s in a cab and still cost less or as much as other options with the stereo/mono and open/closed back features on top of it.

I ended up going with the Lynx 212 Cab as someone else mentioned I should...... Thanks @napalmdeath for bringing it up..... And it got me thinking....

Honestly I was this close from getting either the Peavey Tweed 212 or the Mesa 212 Compact Rectifier Cab......

But I actually landed a Bad Cat Lynx 212 Cab from Andrew at Zzounds at an amazing deal and a lower price than the Mesa 212 Compact Rectifier Cab too..... I was going to go Peavey Tweed 212......but given the great deal glad I got the Lynx 212 Cab and can't wait for it to come in.... Again thanks to Andrew at Zzounds!!!!!

Given the deal and opportunity cost for me...... At my discretion and what I believe to be a great deal...... And a part of me that said..... When I come home to play would I regret not getting the matching cab..... Especially at a good deal..... I could not live with that regret...... As good as many of these other cabinets are and would be for most and I would also be happy with......

I went with the Bad Cat Lynx 212 with dual 16ohm V30 speakers, wired in parallel for an 8ohm load. oversized 212 cab, Made/Built in America, solid birch ply construction..... Yeah NVM the BS and now I can use my 16ohm stash of Celestion G12C/Jimi Hendrix speakers and UK/MIE 70th Anniversary G12H30 stuff..... And pretty much have anything I want tone wise as far as I care ^_^

Also can't understate the performance, value and quality of the Waza speaker and the Katana Artist Mkll even if it is a combo being used as an extension cab......

The Lynx 50 sounds fucking amazing through it to begin with too..... So anyone looking at something for not just pure power needs but also good tone and an all around Greenback tone the 212 Boss Katana Artist Cab may be something to consider and check out for the price.

The cab is decent and actually better than decent but that Waza speaker sure is something *_*

Also been to the places or one of the places around town in So Cal that makes cabs pretty much like this......

Just like the Matchless 212 cabs or even 412 cabs for other prominent Boutique places...... Maybe it's from the same place maybe it's not :dunno:

Either way for the price I got the Bad Cat Lynx 212 cab......... I'm glad I bought Made/Built in USA *_*

I got it at a better deal than a Marshall 212 cab or a Mesa 212 cab........

And it comes with dual 16 ohm V30s wired in parallel.....

And it's as good or arguably better given the deal and in general and not run of the mill cookie cutter shit either...... Boutique quality cab for a great price with or without a discount..... But yeah with a discount and a fucking great discount in general...... as the saying goes......

"Get it while the getting is good.":dunno:

Really can't complain and NVM the noise and fuck the BS *_*

So many of these cabs will be perfectly fine, and every single one of them will sound different, even with the same speakers.

My favorite 212 cabs are the Avatar Contemporary/Signature series cabs (same dimensions with a different front panel). They are bigger than Mesa and EVH cabs, and IME, sound bigger, too. I also really like the KSR 212HW, which is a diagonal cab. It kinda keeps the larger internal dimensions, but since the speakers are diagonal, it's a bit less wide than the Avatar.

I kept an Avatar 212 in my closet for years with a couple mics in front, always ready to record. Was a good set up. If I ever look at 212s again, that will be my choice.

I was kidding about the Chinese made Peavy cab but I'm a sucker for shit matching with my A.D.D., so glad to hear you made the right choice.

+1 to Avatar 212s, Splawn 212s and Mesa cabs in general.

Yeah Avatar Cabinets look dope and sound great for sure. If I wasn't getting the matching cab that would be a top choice for sure.

Always hear nothing but great things about Avatar cabs.

Fucker..... You totally would 🤣

Honestly it was going to be that because the other black cabs short of the Boss Katana don't use the matrix grill cloth....

And I would have been more OCD or ADD with a slightly mismatched grill cloth/black than a completely offset tweed combo with the black. It's offset but it goes with the flow and has its feng shui in combo with a black color.

But yeah pretty much one of the main reasons I went with the Bad Cat Lynx Cab....... OCD/ADD.....

But aside from that although I do love that it's MIA..... Obviously cabs sound different from cab to cab and stuff and I know this but ultimately a box with speakers in it is a box with speakers in it whatever brand it is.......

I'm sure all these cabs would fit anyone and sound great in general, some offer more features and more utility and as good or better for less money one can say..... But yeah something about it......

It seems like a great cab in general and personally wanted a matching cab too.

Ive got a KSR 2x12HW with a redback/v30. Incredible build quality and sounds better than my 4x12
