Mesa's a smart company. If there's a market, they're in it.

The Throttle Box video sounded really good.

"Throttle Box Metal": http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/ ... tml#gpm1_4

Specifically after the EQ change at the half way point.

I thought it was the complete opposite. Went from sounding like ass, to sounding like wet ass. Might as well be a shitty small practice amp it's so indistinct and fizzy. Actually that's an insult to my old Peavey Rage that destroyed that tone

I like the 2 lower gain pedals better...

That's not surprising, its very difficult to make a nice high gain pedal. Even with the Bogner pedals from the clips I heard, the Red and blue sound great, but I don't like the Uber much at all.

Looks like they are shipping anyone tried one?

I must say comparing these to the Bogner, Rivera, Kingsley, etc pedals (notice those are all amp companies) they just seem to be lacking features and like the typical Boss sized dirt box.

I received this pedal today. I have the Recto Recording Pre (used live) into the Simul-Class 2:90. We play hair band stuff and classic rock stuff so the preamp is too hot for the classic rock songs. I haven't found a good matching pedal for low gain until today. This is my forth pedal I've tried for a good low gain sound that matches the character of my OD channel on the preamp. This thing nails it, I keep the gain at 25% running through the clean channel and it sounds just like my OD channel just more usable for the classic rock stuff. I think it is a great pedal for my needs!

I'd be interested in the Grid Slammer for boosting my Dual Rec

I got the Throttle Box. Even though I wanted low gain, my theory is it's always easier to dial it back than find out you didn't have enough

This thing sounds even better with my ep Booster behind it. It made it really fat

I picked up the Grid Slammer. It is a Mesa version of an 808 and sets up the same....just better, quieter, thicker. Good quality stuff here from Petaluma.

I have got to try that Gridslammer. Same price as the import 808

My thought is that the Gridslammer, FluxOD and ToneBurst would be really impressive ontop of a fat and dirty Mesa gain channel. Likely better than the amp alone with it's gain turned up high. Boosted, stacked, whatever.

I am waiting for them to put out something that sounds a bit more like a Marshall.
