I could see using a pedal, not really for adding much more gain, but for adding a little more stringyness and removing a bit of lows. For a 1x12 combo this thing rumbles, lots of bass.
yes, I've brought the ass down since. I've found a setting that is working pretty well for me right now with the Wolfgang...I took a picture so I won't mess it up.philb":11wy6342 said:Randy Van Sykes":11wy6342 said:I like the lead tone to...fun to play, it sings nicely.danyeo":11wy6342 said:I like the lead tones. Sounds great Adam. Yeah, that thing's got a lot of bass, I usually run mine low so the woofyness goes away.
Thanks! The lead tones are pretty nice in this amp for sure.Rogue":my1ukosp said:That's a pretty nice sounding amp. That lead tone is pretty damn sweet.

Looks almost identical to my settings except the volume which is closer to 3-4 o'clock in my case![]()
BTW, I broke down and got an OCD pedal yesterday. I tried it with the Mark IV channel two and it makes that channel usable again.
My ED is still not back from repair but I look forward to trying it.
Edit: I tried the pedal with a Suhr S5 with a Elmwood 60 head and bottom.
So I tried a $160.00 pedal with $7000.00 worth of gear! Oh the humanity !![]()

Hey Phil, let me know how the OCD works out with the Elecrta Dyne when you get a chance.
I'm fine with rhythm gain, but I'd like to try a pedal to hit the vintage high setting for some really sustaining solos.

Picked up an OCD today, try it out tomorrow.danyeo":155lyct8 said:I tried the BB Preamp with the Electra Dyne and it really gave it a nice shot in the arm. But i think the OCD would be a better pedal with this amp.
How do you guys like the looks of the tan combo?

Did another quick clip, just quickly going through the amp's gain modes with an OCD pedal on at times...
