Have you tried both 4x12's with a Mark? What did you like and why?

I found very little difference - there was a more apparent variation found in tone related to the actual internal volume of the cabs than how they were loaded

depends on what you are after. The front loaded cabs are brighter, punchier, tighter, a bit more definition. The rear loaded cabs are a bit looser, darker, but wider projection, smoother top end, better build quality (if we are comparing metal grill to modern era). I like the front loaded cabs better, but i can see modern metal player liking the rear loaded cabs more.

This.

I've tried both and my favorite was the Stiletto (traditional) Mesa 412. I also like my Marshall 412. Both rear loaded.

Oddly enough, my favorite cab by a wide margin when I had my dual rec was a front loaded Carvin 412.

This....
I've tried most cabs out there and overall, the Mesa Traditional sized cab had the best overall tone. Theres tighter sounding cabs but its not a loose sounding cab and it has this big "wall of sound" thing going on that's makes it better than any cab Ive tried. I want another one

Those old Carvins go un noticed. They are great, front load with V30's in them. Good cab.

Are all Bogner cabs front loaded?

No, rear loaded however, I heard they did a front loaded Uberkab (haven't validated this) and if I'm remembering correctly, for the 20th Anniversary Uber.

THanks fellas. I do have a Carvin slant with V30's lol... But I've never owned a rear loaded.
