Mesa JP-2C clip - Nash Tele - not country

Best amp out there! No comparison really when you think about it. I use the first EQ for channel 2 and three and switch to the second EQ for a lead boost. It helps keep the volume balanced between the channels.

This is the first clip that the mids sounded great on. I am not a scooped mids guy and this clip just sounds angry. Thanks for posting it

it's pretty angry for sure - the Mesa Flux was set to semi clean boost but added a touch of sizzle - the mids pop for sure with the Flux on.

I just picked up a JP-2C yesterday. It's a killer, killer amp. I have plenty of high end heads (including a Wizard MC II) but this one just blew me away. Amazing cleans and the overdrive just has that mean, aggressive tone with perfect mids. I grew up on mid-to-early Metallica so maybe that's why I like it so much. And it's way more versatile than I ever expected it to be.

Surprises me to see so many of the JP's up for sale. I wonder if guys just don't take the time to dial them in...

I prefer this amp to all the Wizards I have had including the MTL. They just aren't for me. High dollar amps don't always equate to better tone.

A JP head dialed in is a mean amp, different tone than a Wizard for sure...or any amp for that matter. Mark Amps have their own thing going on.

Love the amp and guitar? Makes me interested in a Nash Tele. How does it compare to your gold flake Suhr or white Fender Custom Shop Tele?

My gold Suhr is killer, the Nash is a totally different vibe but killer tone as well. I sold that CS Tele. I have a Suhr Antique T and a custom Suhr T HSS on order. The amp is fantastic.

Nice what dows the presence knob do?? I have one on my burgera 22 head do i use it with gain ??
Sorry im new to this stuff

On this amp bumping up the presence adds a little more hair/cut. The presence knob in general adds high end from the power section vs the treble knob which adds high from the preamp.

Very cool on the new Suhr's you have on order. I'm kind of looking for a high gainer Tele shaped guitar.

I don't like super hot pickups into high gain amps. The BKP are moderate by most standards...maybe a little hotter than a JB. The Mesa and that Nash is tonal bliss for crunchy guitars. I think the Tele shape just works magic for the punchy tones - I dig Teles.

I agree. I don't need super hot pickups, just want tight and articulate.

I dig the Tele shape also. Just haven't found one that I love yet. Hoping to in the near future though. :) Your Nash and gold Suhr sound killer!!

Your Mesa JP-2C sounds awesome also. I love Mesa amps. Have a Trem-o-verb and Mark IV myself, along with the Soldano Hot Rod 25. You are definitely pushing some air in that video. You just need to make a longer vid.
