True story. My singer's IIC++ and Mightywarlock Pre-500 Rector are the two best-sounding Mesa's I've ever heard.

I'd really like one of these. Wish I had bought one before they soared to $4.5k+ for a reasonably loaded original version :(

That's what I thought, fully loaded when I heard the amazing sound in your video.

You know a lot of people say "I had a IIC+ and I did not think it was all that great, I have a MkIV or V that sounds just as good." Then I ask them if it was a fully loaded one, they usually answer that it was either a IIC that was upgraded or it was the 60watt version or it did not have the simul-class, etc.

Like I said you got to go fully loaded and when you go C+ or go home.

Yes, for sure. and take time with it. I actually had it up for sale, and decided to just try some oddball eq options and things differently than I normally do. Here we are one gig and two rehearsals later, and I can say there is NOTHING like it out there. The IV and V ARE amazing, but this is the pinnacle of THAT certain mark tone. Fully loaded!

I know the Mark IV and V like the back of my hand, but the other thing is that you can't EQ it the same way you would those even, it is its own entity.

Sounds great! What pickups and speakers are you using?

Yeah thanks for sharing... really enjoyed that demo. What delay are you using?

Really cool, I was gonna just post immediately without listening to the whole clip - sounds quite Eric Johnson - like.......and then you did a little Cliffs of dover bit. :)

I have the Quad Preamp and find that for leads I dont quite crank the middle slider as much as you do. Do you notice much of a difference between engaging the EQ with an inverted V, and say, just leaving it off...?

If you even breath on a knob and it moves it a billionth of a inch it changes the entire tone of the amp.

Seriously, I looked at the IIC+ settings Hetfield used for recording and live then was kind of able to figure out how to dial my first IIC+ in but it takes some time.
