I bought a JP-2C over the Mark VII.
Works great for me. Had it for over a year and counting.

The JP2C was channel 2 EQ 1.
The VII was set how it was when I turned it on. It could definitely get closer to the JP2C but that was as close to the VII I could get the JP at these settings.

JP2C is second. Is the JP2C the 2nd one in the clip?
Is shred mode on? Sorry, the pic is a bit blurry. hard to see.JP2C is second.

That's what I heard as well (on good headphones). 2nd clip reminded me more of AJFA aggression, while the 1st clip sounded a tad bigger/fuller and nicer to my ears.I think the VII sounded a bit more full in the low end but not loose or overly compressed. JP sounded a bit tighter at the expense of some of that low end fullness but I assume that could be EQ'd back in.
I believe Gjo said that about the VII if I recall correctly?? Don't know if I believe him or not as he didn't have the amp very long. No one else complains about the VII not being able to move air, hmm??Haven’t played the JP2C. Seems a bit dark vs other Marks and according to GJgo it doesn’t have the “push” like older Marks.
With a parametric EQ in the loop my IV can get close to MOP too, but even closer to the Black Album.I prefer clip 2 but am a Mark vii owner. Both are too crispy in the highs for my taste. Maybe I got lucky but my Mark VII is able to sound like a proper IIC+. Similar settings to yours but mids on zero, 2C mode with a PEQ in loop and less 2200 and 6600, a little less 750 and it sounds like in the room version of M.O.P. album.
