Yea I got his opinion on it, just wondering if any other owners are here.

still waiting for mine, it's supposed to arrive today...i'll post an intro since i'm a new member and a review/vid once i get it

Got to try one today, sounds pretty good but it gets loud pretty fast. I passed on it for now, its smaller in size than expected. Thought it would be in the same size head box as the mini rectoverb.

Hey Art, which do you prefer: the Mini Mark or the Rectoverb 25? And why?

I would have to say the mark 25 as they have both amps there but I didnt actually compare the recto verb to it. I remember the rectoverb in the higain mode had a trigger volume knob too. The clip above sounds great to me but in the extreme mode at that volume level the amp is pretty foookin loud, that is no practice in the beadroom level even though the the volume knob looks looks like its set low. Soon as you crack the volume it comes on hard, at 9 oclock its loud. I will say it has a really good tone and the clean and crunch are great. I might go back tomorrow and bring the head and 2-12 cab in the acoustic room to crank up and see what the deal is. I just think the 25w fools ya as you think it will be great for the man cave and it doesnt quite work out that way. Oh well. Need some guys who have them to chime in.

Sounds like you've got it figured out already. The little guys are just as loud, minus some thump.

Never played the 25, but have a Mark V in the herd.

My 2 cents on practice amps, are that if you've got a big boy amp with some preamp gain, might as well just play it low and be happy.

Yea basically boredom gets ya everytime, and once you catch the dragon you let him go so you can go find him again. LOL

I went to the mesa store in Hollywood where they had several. Very tiny amp head. Not as small as a Big Mac box but close (not really, but very small)

Putting a MXR 10 band in the loop will solve all of the low volume issues and adds additional versatility.

All the Mark series amps get loud quick but as long as you are careful with the volume knobs they are among the best low volume amps out there.

The full Mark V has a great master volume, and a 10 watt mode. I would think that the appeal of the 25 is size/portability and price, not low volume tone.

Does the mini have independent channel volumes? Not sure about the Mini Mark, but on a Mark IV between the master volume and the channel volume you can get it sounding great at low volume.

Hey guys, I'm new here but i've been a lurker for some time...I also used to be on the esp board back a few years ago.

I got my mark v mini saturday afternoon and have been loving it. i have owned numerous mesas before including 2 & 3 channel rectos, mark iv, stiletto, etc. but I think between my multi-watt dual rec and now the mark v, I'll be set for a while. See below for a few pics and a shitty video just to capture the sound (i'll post a better one sometime this weekend).
