Mesa MK V vs. MK IV - after a few years, is the MK V okay?

Hey guys, super new to the forum and I've been looking hard to get a MKIV, but international shipping seem to deter most people :/

I've not had a chance to play any Boogie (this side of the world, it's hard to see one!) and I'm just going a lot by threads like these and clips wherever I can find. Valuable info for prospective owners IMO :D

I actually preferred channel 2 on the V but I have a IV and think the lead channel on the IV cannot be had on the V and so I kept my IV. The V is great though. I'd be happy with either. I do boost channel 2 on the IV though.

I'm really having a hard time deciding!!!

Can have the V for almost the same price as the IV.

Peter, didn't you think your last IV kinda sucked?

I actually did, but I'm gonna give the mark series another go, I think.

It will probably be the Mark V, since the Mark IV in Denmark is too expensive, and is a combo, and is located too far away, and not sure about its condition.

:)

Still have the V. It's my main amp. I had a IV for years. There are differences on CH 3 between the IV and V where the IV is better but I can live with the V. The V is superior to the IV on all otehr channels.

I sold the IV.

I love my Mark IV to such a point, that I don't even feel I would need a Mark V. No gas to be had there.

So I cannot decide...

But I went with the MK Iva, since I'm only gonna use the lead-channel. Hoping for the best, gets it on friday.

And the best news is that I will keep my Hermanssons!
