So far, so good. Super easy to get a baseline sound.
Finding great tones on both Vintage and Modern settings with and without my MXR GT-OD on.
Thanks to @Guitarjon for the kick in the pants I need to finally get a Recto family amp!

I had both version one and two. Both sounded a bit different. Neither had the growl of a dual or triple recto. Mind you I’m not saying they weren’t good, just more of a hard rock tone than a metal vibe. Toss a boost in front and you are GTG.
Cool amps nonetheless.
I’m surprised at all the different ways - with and without a boost - that I‘m getting great tones. I’ve tried the tone-at-zero and use the presence trick. I’ll try messing with the loop mix, too. I put it at 0 and haven’t touched it since. I also have a pair of EL34’s to try out, too. The honeymoon is going WAY better than expected.
I‘m open to any other suggestions and settings to try out.
