any love or hate for this amp? I can get a combo for not too much money and am debating whether i should take a drive to check it out.

as always: looking for hi gain with plenty of sustain for fluid soloing, harmonics, etc without sounding like limp biskit

It's a mighty fine amplifier. It has a great clean channel, Blues mode is cool. The Vintage is pretty decent and the Modern mode gets the job done for modern hard rock/metal tones. I found out it records extremely well too. It had lots of depth and was real smooth when recorded.

I loved mine. I also have a 5150, and ultimately- I kept the 5150 and sold the Tremoverb. I know they are different amps, but I was doing similar (hi gain) things with both of them and I preferred the 5150. I thought the Tremoverb did have some mid-gain and clean sounds that sounded better than my 5150. But the hi gain was sort of redundant for me.

The Trem-O-Verb is my #1 favorite amp! It does everything I want it to soooo gracefully, and is by far the easiest & quickest Boogie for me to dial in great sounds. I've got the combo...and it RULES!! It's only shortcoming is the lacking of a proper footswitch....but VoodooMan can make you a killer one for a little under $100. "Buy 1, Buy 1!!"

PS> I wouldn't compare it to a 5150 at all.
