If you can play well, it sounds awesome...if you suck, it doesn't. Pretty much the same as any other decent amp.

This is a pretty good thread. Would be nice if a mod would delete a few of the last posts to keep it on track. Not sure why this thread needs that garbage.

I own one for awhile now. Excellent amp. This is probably the tightest Mesa I've ever had or heard. Loads of gain. Nothing like a recto... it's got that liquid gain feel that you don't have to fight the amp. Clean is very nice as well. Channel 2 is kinda British hard rock I guess. Channel 3 is the cash !!!!

At this point in my life it's clean and chimey or molten metal. I don't care for in between. Don't care if shit breaks up or sounds good w a single coil. Best ask someone else on that note.

Don't know how anyone can say this amp sucks. Far from it. I really liked the Mesa Royal Atlantic amp somehow this feels like they took that amp to another level.

Again just an opinion...cheers

I love mine. My favorite amp that I have owned. Running with a Mesa open back 1x12 with c90 and closed back 1x12 with Mesa Fillmore. Sounds huge. Sounds fantastic at low volume.

I just got one last night. Killer amp.

Clean channel is very nice. Sounds great with a delay in the loop.

Mid Gain channel has some serious grind, non-compressed and aggressive.

Hi Gain channel is more of the same, although is more scooped sounding and slightly compressed.

Reverb, effects loop, and channels are all footswitchable. Solo button on the footswitch as well for extra volume when...you guessed it, rip a solo.

Edit 1: I don't do midi, but I believe it has the same midi capabilities as the JP-2C.

Edit 2: I have 2 Mark IV's, a Mark III, a coupe Dual Rec's, and a JP-2C The TC-50 fits nicely in the mix of my collection.

I like it a lot.

That's a nice collection of Boogie's.
