Replaced a V-type in a Marshall SC212 cab with a V30. 16 ohm both. 8 ohm parallel. Sounds phenomenal.

V30 T3904B. 444 cone.

Is that V30 new? So they're making them back in UK as well? How about the V-Type? Is it MIE or MIC?

The V-Types in my SC212 has MiC on the magnet sticker. I just got the V30 yesterday brand new from a speaker dealer here in MN. Box said MiC but magnet sticker clearly said Made in UK… so figure that one out. I’m a little stumped haha.

Maybe they had to shift production temporarily due to supply chain issues???

I have a diamond plate top and bottom I got direct from Mesa back in 92 when they had a satellite office in Rockaway. The top was actually the prototype diamond plate and the bottom was the first few made. This was before there were 2 sizes of Recto Cab. The V30s in them are extremely broken in and are very smooth in the upper mids and not harsh on top. I cracked the backs on them to take pics years ago and I'll post em if I can find them. Tried pulling the handles off but it was just about impossible with the D. Plate. Back was a pain in the ass to open as some of the plate overlapped. These I will take to my grave as they sound that good.
