Met Peter Joseph (ihave27frets) at The Absence/Black Dahlia

Had a good chat with Pete (ihave27frets here at the boards), Pat, and Jeramie of The Absence last night after their set and during Cannibal Corpse's set. Got a bunch of stuff signed, talked about gear and modern music, had a GREAT fucking time. I fucked my bad wrist up in a pit during The Absence and I can't breath too well, but it was PLENTY worth it. I missed half of The Absence's set sadly, but what I saw was fucking awesome. The Black Dahlia Murder fucking BROUGHT IT last night, Was easily one of the best shows I've seen. Awesome tone, and the whole band sounded just like the records.

If anyone gets a chance to check out this tour, don't hesitate! I had one hell of a good time.

Pete and the rest of the band are cool, down to earth fuckers. A friend of mine and I were walking past the merch towards the restroom when I hear someone say "I'm supposed to meet someone from Rig-Talk here tonight." So I turn around and see Pete and Pat standing by the merch table. I say "Hey Pete! CaseyCor from Rig-Talk" and shake his hand and Pat says "There he is!" Haha, I thought that was pretty cool.

Pete's a great cat; he, Shea, and I roomed at NAMM last January... Had a blast.

earlier in the year they were supposed to come to Tupelo (at least thats what a local entertainment newspaper said). turns how someone was using their name to hopefully get people to go...i emailed Pete and he was like "sorry dude, we told them to take out name off that!" so they almost fooled me. i would have demanded my money back though!

hopefully theyll come close soon so i can check them out and meet Pete. sounds like you had a good night though...

they're playing in charlotte oct.9th, and a couple old friends of mine play in goatwhore, so i'll probably meet him there. actually a bill that i want to see every band on.
