I'll file this in the "lulu" folder.
No thanks, i'll pass.

Cliff would be spinning in his grave RIP and poor Dave has to hear them butcher it...

That only would've been cool if the real Four Horsemen showed up, slayed those 4 old grampas and then plugged in with electric guitars and rocked the song like 1989 Metallica.

This why me and u did some business Gary lol thanks again boss.

metallica topics always brings out the worst in people
everyone wants metallica to be an AC/DC or a MOTORHEAD and just rock that same style forever.
metallica is the rare case of a european national, in an american band in the early 80's. that was their ace in the hole.
listen to american metal and eruo metal from 76-82. you'll know. then there was metallica.
metallica had such a huge impact with that shit, that it seems like anything else they do besides what they did from 82-88 is polarizing as fuck!
its crazy. they set the bar so high for themselves as a thrash metal band, that people seriously hate their guts for playing anything other than thrash.... a label lars has been trying to shun in interviews since the mid 80's for the same reason.

if you REALLY paid attention to metallica in interviews and what not, along the way (which most casual fans don't), then everything they've ever done has made sense. even lulu. although, yeah, that album was...an art project at best

I agree 100% People have made up in their mind who "they" think the band should be. Doesn't necessarily jive with who the band thinks they should be. Sorry that some folks are stuck in the 80s, but the band changed/evolved whatever you want to call it. No longer like what they are? Great so be it. Just quit bitching and lamenting over the old days. It's old, worn out and bitter. The band is different and frankly older. Guess what? We all are. They're not superheros that get to remain young punks forever.

Those that say Cliff would roll over really have no idea. Dude was the most progressive out of all of them. Who knows what weird direction he would have pulled them.

I am closer to Cliff than you'll ever know lame ass. Obviously you didnt know him and that's clear. The band we knew we miss and even more we miss Cliff. We aren't open to their crap and that's fine if you are, maybe you don't see them for the sellouts they are but as long as they kick out garbage you'll have to deal with people like me who are equally annoyed by the people who enjoy a good sellout. RIP Cliff Burton forever.

Lame ass? What are you, 12? FFS man, grow up. If you think they've sold out, great. But that means you've likely thought that for almost 30 years now. I just can't help but lol, and think, how pathetic.

I really couldn't care any less how "close" you were to cliff. His dad is cool and has a great relationship with the band. Maybe people could learn something from him?

"Thought?" I've known for 30 years and it's no secret. A lot of people know, you insulted them telling them to get over it/quit bitching/lamenting. My biggest clue was "I just can't help but lol", yeah you are a lame. If you're not a millenial you'd fit right in after you lmao and omg ffs...

Did I just read some pro Lars posts?
I haven’t seen that in 30 years

Yeah...the mighty Metallica really cares about the opinions of some nobody wankers
