it feels like your looking into my soul bob.

How did you know? I was trying to disguise it.

Very cool. I love the history of our music. Our Metal. All the ways it has grow and spread.

Cool, so you and sah5150 are our OGs from the LA 80's scene, anyone else?

Curt (Chubtone) was around towards the end of the scene rippin' it up. Jerry from Surreal was giggin'... Has to be others.

I might have been at Gazzari's every Friday and Saturday night from 1983-1986 or so. Can anyone name the Gazzari's house band after VH (and maybe one other)?

Bob, you rule so hard. I listened to those clips before long ago, but I just listened to them again for nostalgia purposes. Blows my mind how killer the playing was on those things! You were kicking ass and taking names before I was even born! Major props! Do you still talk to Katon at all? I see him touring and still doing the Hirax thing. Pretty awesome, I may say.

Also, let's not forget that Bob is in the history books forever thanks to that demo tape. Not only is he on the Metal Archives page:

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bob_Savage/116668

But he's also on Hirax's Wikipedia page:

Brand Blvd? There were a few bands that Bill rotated but I'm struggling to remember the names. Funny, I knew I had a picture of a Gazzari's billboard for a Fri or Sat night when we played and the headliner is the band I remembered. Could probably find the others on google.

Thanks man... perhaps a bit overstated but I appreciate the kind words. I haven't talked to Katon in over a decade.

Hey Bob,

Thanks for posting your pictures & demos of Hirax when you were in the band. Very cool. My friend, Jorge Iacobellis, is the current drummer for Hirax.
