These are some wild sounding sweeps. Sweeping with the pick on the neck is tricky but i like how it works.

 
Such an original tone and style.
I tried that sweep on the neck hahaha please.
 
He was always good but was one of those guys that never caught on maybe because he came out at that time when there was a shitload of shredders being spewed out like hotcakes.

Very cool style...very Beck like but could shred too.

Always been one of my favorite instrumentalists - have four of his discs, the replay value is high with his material for me, more so than sooo many others anyway (partly because he has SICK tone). Great thing is, as crazy as his chops are, he seldom gets that carried away with it in his tunes (like the barrage of arps he effortlessly unloads early in the OP vid, etc), he just gives you a slice of that here and there. He also writes some really cool mellow stuff.
 
I have one cd of his, Cactus Cruz...it has some good stuff on it and a cool cover of the Sanford & Son theme. :rock:
