The HH is meant to be a clear non-coloring sounding power amp. I own one and its great for what it does. I do wish he had a Mesa Strategy 400 to try in this video. I actually modified my S400 with depth circuits for both channels and its a monster.

I think I expected more punch and clarity, it seemed a bit tubby on the low end and the tone was a little smeared, maybe due to aging electronic components and electrolytic caps.... but when compared to the VHT 2150, holy crap that thing punched hard and great clarity. All that being said I am quite happy with the performance and tone of my Matrix GT1000FX, I would have loved to try an HH V800 for sure I almost pulled the trigger on one that was on Ebay and here but I already had the Matrix.
I have to say the Fryette Powerstation was punchy and had clarity, not quite as much as the 2150 but the 2150 is more that twice the price so I think the PS is a great buy.
The Rivera was kinda harsh and blah tonewise which was surprising.
I think him going into the FX Return of the Rivera made a difference when comparing to the others. It was way brighter and thinner. I have the Rivera poweramp version of that amp he had and also a Powerstation and it doesn't sound that way ime.
