Among other bands back in the day, I enjoyed Stryper - due to the talent and skills of Michael Sweet. Vocals and guitar, both amazing IMO. He comes closest to Steve Marriott in terms of both, though I give the vocals a slight edge to Steve, and guitar playing edge to Michael.

I think Sweet is one of the most underrated vocalists/guitarists/frontmen in rock.
