Our manly AMPLIFIERS are just TOO MIGHTY for your pathetic CAMERA MIC!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I laugh like an evil genius!

But really - next time, we might want to bring a quick and dirty recording setup with a mic that can handle the volume - maybe a laptop, interface, and an SM57 might do the trick. And conveniently, I just so happen to own all 3 of those.

or maybe we can try not to out-compete each other's dB level...

the Ampeg for instance sounded really good until it got turned up and then it sounded like mine...clipped. They could all hold their own though. I'd have been happy with any of them.
What?? An Ampfest with all them KILLER amps not be LOUD??
BLASPHAMEY!!!
I had such a good time. Cant wait till next one.
Already in the planning stages.

I can always go with a couple of Crown MA9000i's over the Art SL2A for the wet signals...

If that first clip hadn't mudded out,I think it would have sounded heavy as hell

Camcorder mics are not the right method to record high decible amps, but here is a slightly less clipped version of my rig.

I think I just blew the speakers on my lap top ....

Super cool. Wish I had gone, I was really new to RT and gear back then. I did end up going to a fest a while back in KC and got to meet some of you glorious people.

Definitely was a great time and would do it again.
