Great sound - are you running the Tech 21 dUg?

Nope, AxeFX that was kinda replicating the way Dug dialed his amps in; all the high end going to the distorted amp (that was actually a JCM800) and all the low end coming out clean (Ampeg). Thanks!

Man, that’s what I’m missing in my life, some big fucking bass humbuckers.

I would get a Spector with humbuckers. I have Bartolini pickups in my NS2000/4 and it rips. Plus, at least with those, you can split the coils and get the jazz bass sound. Really, you want the meat and punch of a humbucker.

Another option, if you prefer the jazz bass feel, would be Music Man. That's a hefty pickup too.

I swapped the passive tone knob on both of them for that Duncan Blackout Active EQ preamp - takes an already awesome bass to holy fucking shit levels, and those preamps are (or at least were) like $60 new when I bought them. I'd recommend adding them to any bass tbh

I've been watching that since you posted it. Trying so hard to ignore it but I just cant....
Me too. It on Craigslist not too far from me. If it was a four string, I would have another Spector already. These basses rip.

If you are a 5 string player, try for a used 37 inch multiscale specter- the added string tension is a godsend
