I'm trying to use my CAE 4x4 switcher with a CAE RST footswitch. I want to use fantom power on the footswitch...thing is the RST footswitch only has a 5 pin input/output while the 4x4 is 7 pin. . I read that pins 1 and 3 are for fantom power, but I can't find anything on the 7 pin out for the CAE 4x4. I do have a custom 7 pin midi cable that I can rewire if necessary (and cut 2 pins off to make it work with a 5 pin). Or I can just buy a new 5-7 midi cable. Any help or thoughts?

I don't have a clue which pin does what in that scenario, but you could probably contact Disaster Area Designs and they could likely help you sort it out (and/or make a cable for you). They were always helpful in the past when I had midi cable questions.

Well, the original RS10 was made to go with the 4x4 and has phantom in on pins 6 and 7 of the MIDI out port. So I´d guess that the 4x4 also sends phantom on 6 and 7. That´s the standard, too, the only thing slightly odd is that Bradshaw uses phantom power over 5-pin sometimes.
