MIDI relay switchers

My Mesa/Boogie MarkIV has six relay switch sockets, to switch the channels, EQ, effects loop, and Class A/SimulClass.

I want to switch them via MIDI, along with my effects pedals.

I currently have a DMC GCX Audio Switcher in my pedalboard to switch the pedals in & out via loops. It will be controlled via patch changes on a Roland FC-300 MIDI footcontroller.

Are there any small relay switcher units that only have 6 switches, that can be controlled by MIDI?

That way I can synch it with the effects pedal loop patch changes.

I would think you could use the RJM amp gizmo with the right cables.

Is it smaller than the GCX switcher?

It is half of a rack space.

Cool, thanks :) .

I wonder if it will into a Rockman rack tray? That way I can mount it with my Rockman chorus/delay box and stick it underneath the MarkIV.

Hang on, how is it going to work when I need to individually control 6 relay switches? There's only four, and even though they are stereo it compromises what I can switch.

I just saw the Mini Amp Gizmo, after following the link of the pic that was posted. It has a MIDI socket with 8 DIN pin 'mini sockets'. I guess that goes to a special MIDI cable that has 8 1/4" jacks on it?

Don't worry, I just found now the BOB-8 which provides 8 sockets. Silly thing is that I need two boxes to be able to control the MarkIV- that's a lot of clutter. Damn I feel like I'm better off just getting a second GCX to control it and put up with more space being taken up.

I don't see why they can't just have the 'BOB-8' as a MIDI switcher. I could hook up the MIDI controller to it, and then connect the relay switches to the BOB-8.

get an amp gizmo or mini amp gizmo and order the cable from Ron. they make them for the mark iv
"Cable part #AC-MARK4-10
Uses a single custom cable or, on the Amp Gizmo, you can alternately use two 1/4" Y cables and two 1/4" mono cables."
