Here's a fun reason to have a Floyd Rose on a Les Paul. This is the solo from Mike and the Mechanics' "Silent Running". I love this moody solo!.
This is Axe-Fx II XL direct into a Tascam iXJ2 iOS interface for the iPhone 6. It's a $29 interface

This is the same Tyketto 18 preset with the gain backed way off and boost OFF. Feedback trickery.

 
Loved it Mark! I love different styles of clips. I have been playing quite a bit of 70s and 80s style music lately more in the classic to pop rock with my band. Glad to see some diversity coming around from you. Really enjoyed it other than it was much too short.

Thanks Chad. This solo always gets me. The late Alan Murphy was so expressive.

Totally agree on that solo. I have found lately that my tastes are evolving again and I seem to be gravitating to the types of playing you are speaking to here.
