Bruce was blazingly fast, and had wicked technique which generated power.

Would be interesting, and anything can happen: I've seen an absolute legend get ko'd in 30 seconds by a lucky shot.

This is true for like to like sized men or against the average man.....

But Mike Tyson wasn't the average man and well even amongst above average men he was on another level.

Relative to the average person I say yes but against Mike I don't think so but yeah anything could happen :dunno:

Poor Mike absorbed tons of blows from the likes of Lennox Lewis before he went down. He didn't have a glass jaw at all.

If we're talking about your average 220 lb guy at a tough man contest, Bruce could make it happen, but not a top 1% pro fighter who was basically a pitbull. :dunno:

2 different fighters. this is like saying whos better Segovia of Bonamassa

Yeah I don't think this is something people understand or take into consideration. Bruce was an amazing fighter and well yeah a real hero to many...... And he was above average for his height, ability, weight, speed, power, agility and for someone of his size........ He was like a Jaguar/Tiger...... Against many average men or above average men Bruce would take it.

But I mean Mike Tyson in his prime is like a Cheetah and a Rhino/Elephant all in one or a Grizzly Bear/Raptor wrapped all in one. Maybe someone like Kurt Angle or Brock Lesnar could do it.... Being from a different sport and I'd probably put that as a safer bet.

Even Chuck Norris was a little dismissive of Bruce when asked what a contest between the two of them would be like. He said "Well.....Bruce wasn't a pro fighter".

If you see a local black belt "karate expert" instructor at your strip mall dojo, he isn't in the same zip code as hardened, full contact pro fighters who are going for knockouts and championships. I haven't kept up with the recent names, but some of the GOATS were Bill Wallace and Joe Lewis. Chuck said that he and Bill Wallace worked out sometimes and "beat the hell out of each other" back in the '70s/'80s, but they still won't say who won. They are great friends, but the fact that Bill has tremendous respect for Chuck says a lot about his ability. If you can't weather abuse, you can't be an elite pro fighter. Bruce was formidable for sure, but never tested in world championship pro fighting.

Remember kids, movies aren't reality.

The Romans used to fight bears vs lions, tigers in their arenas. The bears would usually whip the lions and tigers due to their heavy frames/endurance. If all animals weighed 500 lbs, the big cats would have probably won, but that's not how it was.

Tyson used to be very accurate with his uppercuts, although after he lost his focus, he would swing and miss all the time. If you compare 2000s+ washed up Tyson vs Peak Bruce, this would be more of a contest.

Except that this wasn't the question of the thread.

It was "who would win?".

That's not comparing their individual standings in their chosen disciplines. :dunno:
