I picked up a Marshall Silver Jubilee 2525 for a good price the other day. While I'm waiting for it I was wondering what boost you guys prefer. I have a couple tube screamers, a tumnus deluxe, SD-1, and a Joyo Ultimate overdrive. Wondering if theres anything better I'm over looking.

For speakers I have a Mesa Thiele with an EVM 12-L and another 1x12 with a Mesa V30. I saw the Marshall Jubilee cabs come with Greenbacks now though. Does anyone prefer this amp with a Greenback? I look forward to your insight. As a long time lurker I pick up alot of good tips on this board. You guys rock

I have a 2554 and have owned 7 other originals, and one 2555 reissue. My favorite boost nowadays is a plain old Boss OD1X. Keeps the low end intact, can add more(don't need more with a Jubilee) and keeps the tone open so to speak where some boosts 'narrow' the tone. I've used a Cusack screamer, Fulltone OCD, and SD1 also with good results. Another option is a simple EQ pedal, I have a cheapo Danelectro Fish n Chips that I will use alone or in conjunction with another boost pedal for heavier stuff.
G12 65s are my fav speaker with it although GBs are good too. I had an EV Mesa 2x12 that I thought was ok, and the Jubilee is the only Marshall IMO that sounds really good with V30s. The first V30 was the Marshall Vintage 8ohm developed for the Jubilee in 87...if you can find those they kill with a Jubilee. The Marshall Vintage has been a 16 Ohm speaker since the early 90s, so the 8ohm version can be harder to find.

I use a Maxon OD-9 or Timmy to boost my 2553 50Watt jubilee. Was running it through a 212 with WGS ET-65's, but now using that cab with my soldano HR25, so using 2 112's with the jubilee, a V30 cab and Scumback BH75-LD.

Been kicking around trying some Fane M65's with the jubilee.

Lots of great information here. I appreciate the experience on these you guys have. I will keep an eye out for a Marshall Vintage speaker for sure. I can't wait to get this thing!

Pretty sure the new Jubilee Reissue cabs come with 16 ohm Marshall Vintages, so if you want to match the mini with the 2x12 Jubilee cab you'll have a new pair.
