Minnesota, with its engaged citizens and strong sense of connectedness, is the top state in the country for residents’ quality of life, according to a recent study.

The State of the Nation Project, a bipartisan group focused on the challenges and progress of Americans, released study findings Saturday assessing “how the country is doing.” The report analyzed 31 quality-of-life factors across all 50 states.

yep, truly great State of Minnesota, 10,000 lakes.

Lol, you don't think Minneapolis is cold? You're as dumb as you are ugly.
Your condescending assumptions are making your ignorance show. Ugly jokes......weak. Sorry, I no longer have long hair so your obligatory libtard man-bun isn't happening.
PAY ATTENTION:

COLD

VERY COLD

FRIGGIN' COLD

Get it?

I'm from Minnesota but I moved away 20+ years ago. It has it's good and it's bad. The cold is extreme and that's most of the year. The income tax sucks. The rural gov is a strange mix of conservative and socialist politics and has many heavy handed POS cops. The state run liquor stores are a grift. There is a lot of political corruption even in small towns. A lot of people are on the take there. But, if you are truly down and out the state will help you get back on your feet. MN care existed a long time before Obama care if you love socialized medicine. The state is a hotbed of socialist scandahoovian morons going back over a hundred years.

The 3 nice weeks of weather each summer during grandma's marathon time up the north shore is really nice. Duluth is/was a cool town. The bayfront blues fest used to be a good time. The Minneapolis/St. Paul blues scene is still pretty good. Being able to go camping just about anywhere is nice. There is a lot of state land so if you don't own property you can still enjoy the out of doors which ain't the case in Texas. We used to ride four wheelers all the way out to Itasca state park. I used to canoe the schoolcraft and mississippi river every year since we were on a lake connected by them.

Al that said, if someone offered me a hundred million bucks to spend the rest of my life there I wouldn't have to think about it. The answer is hell no. I'd rather be poor in Texas.

I'm in North Dakota a few days a week, and it's just as bad there. Plenty of neighborhoods I won't go near.
Since I'm not big on flying kites I hate ND even more than MN, LOL. I was told by a friend who was doing sign installations throughout the northern part of the state and ND they even imported foreigners as far north as Warroad. The hotels get kicked money from the state and they have full capacity 24/7. Halls full of trash bags....

I have more dead MN friends than living. The long winters contribute to idle time which is spent drinking and drugging. I have a commemorations book full of suicides, overdoses, and alcohol related deaths. There used to be a lot of fighting cause that's what you do in a logging town that is all logged out. There is little or no opportunity there since logging and taconite ain't what it used to be.

@JDs Couch would probably like it since he enjoys socialist politics, the out of doors, and shoving wild blueberries into his nostrils for fun.
