MIRC, LLC guitar refurbishing...

Anyone ever heard of these guys before? MIRC, LLC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Corporation)

I ran across a Gretsch I've been coveting and in the Reverb description it mentioned the guitar was refurbed by MIRC, LLC.

"We are an Authorized dealer with MIRC

Each guitar and stringed instrument we sell has been hand-picked by our team, fully inspected, and cleared by a certified luthier."

This is the first listing I've seen them mentioned.

I remember hearing some announcement that Fender was going to be doing that if i recall. Doesn't surprise me if other guitar companies are doing this as well. It is for selling B-stock and guitars with issues that they fix/sell to/through a 3rd party.

Yeah, every MIRC guitar i've ever come across has been legit, at least that i've seen

I'm not super knowledgeable about them though

They're legit, and there's others like Franklin Guitar Works on Reverb that has some killer deals.

The only drawback on the refurbs is they assign it a new serial number and stamp them as used on the headstock. Seems harmless, but it makes them basically worthless if you ever wanted to move it. I've never bought a refurb, but I've bought from Franklin. They do some special deals where they buy out discontinued guitars on the cheap and sell them cheap. They're new, factory-sealed.
