Modded Bogners... FORTIN mod!

Went over to Mike's place and got the red channel mods done to my 100B and my cousin's Xtcy Classic. Mike saved us some bucks by doing the mods for us here (he's a half hour from my house) compared to shipping the amps all the way accross the country to California.
The mod is to the red channel and really adds "high mids" to the channel to make it more aggressive, cuts thru the mix much better!
Plus, of course, there is an increase in gain.

Great mod! I would highly recommend it to anyone with an Xtcy...

He also did a mod to my Steavens 100 watt Poundcake - DC heaters mod which made the amp MUCH quieter even on channel 4 with the gain up!!!

If you want a mod done, I would highly recommend Mike as he's owned just about every high end high gain switcher out there and also is an insanely good guitar player. You tell him what you want, he'll get you there! He has "guitar player's ears" - Big plus!!
(- He totally feels what we mean when talking tone.)

My cousin was noodling quietly away on a Fortin Bones (asking why the Bogner doesn't sound "this good") and now can't stop talking about how he needs the new Fortin Meathead- the 6 channel switcher Mike is building.

Mike will be so busy in the coming years, he won't probably have time for mods at that point... He's a genius.

Mike is the real deal and I can't wait until his amps come out!!

With that said, he still does some killer amp mods and I think people should take advantage of that before he becomes to busy with his own amp line!!

I agree with Ralph, that guys should definitely take advantage of the fact Mike still offers mods. Once his ampline takes off, i cant see him having much time spare to be doing any mods. He can offer pretty much whatever you need, and to top it off.. his work is easily as clean as Larry or Steavens amps stuff.. If not even cleaner.

Cant ask for more than that IMO

I wouldn't say it was "weak" on the 100B at all, BUT it was not "aggressive" at all... and didn't match up very well with blue channel in terms of the voicing.
Now it has a higher mid thing working so it jumps out for solos- plus a bit more juice to boot!

Get intouch with Mike and talk to him about what you wana achieve tone-wise. He's one of the nicest guys around and loves talking about this stuff! I talk with him on a regular basis, and we'r always going over different ideas with mods and other amp stuff

All production Natas amps will have S/N 666. Its going to get confusing .....
