Modding an ENGL Metalmaster 20, worth the trouble?

Since I have big boy ENGLs I haven't played my Metalmaster 20 watt in a while. Played it for a bit over the weekend. I like the overall character and it's the one that first turned me on to the ENGL sound. But for my taste it could use a little more mids. Mid knob maxed is just enough and the mid scoop button is basically useless.

I don't feel like it worth enough to bother with the hassle of selling. So I was pondering having it modded to push out a bit more mids to make it more my speed. Eiter via more mids from the knob or changing the scoop to a boost.

Before I put a bunch of effort seeking someone to do the mod I want to ask here. Would this be worth pursuing both time and money wise?

Not the first time I've heard someone mention the ribbon cables inside ENGLs. I've only pulled the Morse out of it's shell and yeah, it didn't look like it'd be any joy to work on.

I was handing out candy while typing and forgot to put this in... EQ in the loop was my first go to, but it didn't like what it did. For some reason it the saturation level dropped significantly with an EQ in the loop. I tried the 2 EQ pedals I have and it did the same on both. It may have been the pedals, but I haven't experienced this with any other amp using them.

In all likely hood I'll leave it as is. I have to crank the mids to 11, but it can make it just past the threshold of not quite enough; or at least what is a mid scooped sound for me. Like I mentioned... just pondering some options.

They are a monstrosity inside, but the ones I've owned sound damn good!
