So sorry to hear about your Mom, Jeff. My Mom was in a simular situation last year and I know what your going through. Her symtoms were acually simular to your Mom's. Came on sudden and ended up being something they had never even treated at the hospital before.

Did they ever give a diagnosis?

It was a very rare (now becoming a lot more common) type of strep infection in her blood. Not like strep throat, but more like a flesh eating virus type of strep strain.
