Anyone else tried these? I bought them on a whim earlier this week. Wow, they're awesome. I've had serious problems finding a product that allows me to maintain my grip on the pick without squeezing the shit out of it. I've tried double sided tape, grip tape, weird glue like products, and every "grip pick" and boutique imaginable and it never worked. The pick always slides side ways and I have to keep readjusting constantly when playing. It's been so annoying.

The things really do work. It's just some kind of silicone that is super sticky. They aren't sticky at all though. Grippy is better. Doesn't slip at all and adds just a tiny bit of bulk to the picks which I like. It might be the best guitar related purchase I've made in a long time and it was only $10.

Now to hope I don't lose all the picks that I out them on

-so its something you apply to the pic's? Interesting, I have a issue with holding pic's, I've been using medical self adhering mesh tape, I'll check it out.

Yes, they're precut little circles of silicone. They stick on to the picks. I had low expectations when I ordered them, but they surprised me big time. They're the best thing I've tried so far and I've tried a lot of random crap. I need to order a few more packs for the inevitable lost picks. Wish they were $5 a pack instead of $10 though.

hold the pick with vise grips and use an ice pick or dart tip to score an X into both sides of the guitar pick. old trick i learned from dimebag. been doing this since the 90s. works like a charm.

I tried that too. Tried so many things man. I've drilled holes in picks, used grinders, tape, etc.

I just happened to try these: http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/primetone-jazziii-xl a couple months ago, and talk about grippy! Haven't dropped a pick since. Not all that expensive compared to some, and they seem to last forever.

I never actually drop my picks. They just slip and slide a bit. I have to keep adjusting the angle of my hand to pick the way I like or keep adjusting my grip. This is the first time I can hold the pick and it just stays where I want it.

I'm sure lots of stuff work for other people. I've just tried so much random shit to help and nothing did until I got these on Monday. Pretty excited . Thought I'd share.

I like to think outside of the box with everything and I've never even considered this. Great tip!!!

My work around wat to find and use "cool pics" which have built in sandpaper. lol

I've had good luck with these:

-Ha!!!... After the first read of your post I was thinking, "Dam! This dude is completely bad ass!! He Play's with VICE GRIPS and a FUCKIN ICE PICK!!!..."

-maybe I do need to pay more attention to what is written and not just look at the pictures...

I ordered a set last night. I'm hoping this works. I have the same situation as the OP. I don't drop, the pick just constantly moves on me. Here's to hope

-i tried the scoring/scratching the pic's last night per ROTTIN's post, it did help, have you tried the pics with the 8 sided hole in the middle? They helped me a lot.

-here's what has helped me.

-8 sided star/hole in the center pic's
-self adhering medical mesh wrap.
-scoring the pic
-using the rear corners of the pic-(less leverage than the front of the pic)-thou this will produce sometimes unwanted harmonic's & for faster runs you usuae have to use the pic normally.

I have tried the scoring of picks, the gorilla snot, etc. I now use the Dunlop jazz iii xl in ultex. They work pretty well with the raised lettering for grip. I'll try the monster grips and possibly move to less thick picks.

funny. I went down to ultrex .73 and have not dropped a pick in quite some time. Prior with really hard picks it would get stuck on the string with friction. Explore downward/upwared pick slanting. it helps
