Monty / 4nkam - Your response is needed

Wow I am suprised to hear this. According to his Youtube account he has not signed in for 2 weeks.

Maybe he got in a accident or is somewhere he cant get to a computer like the hospital. It could just be one of his family members on myspace?

Not making excuses for the guy but I am suprised to hear it was him doing something like this. I known him from the ESP forums since 2001.
 
I am surprised as well but it is what it is. He withdrew the money and his paypal e-mail is no longer working.
 
If you know his name and what city the money was sent to you can check to see if he is in jail, hospital or dead. Find out the county name and they usually have a way to look up inmates and a list of hospitals in the county.

On the other forums like HC it shows his last login on April 28 2009. The time frame matches the Youtube and when everyone else stopped hearing from him. :confused:

What type of updates did you see on his myspace? Was it actually him posting or could it have been a family member or someone else that set it to private?
 
As far as I know, Monty is looking for a new place to live, and does not have access to a computer at this time. He was using his phone for awhile, but I assume he's either gotten rid of it as well, or quit using the internet service on it.

Wherever you are Monty, I hope you're doing OK, and we miss you mate. I've considered you a good friend since we met 3 years ago at the ESP boards.

But right now, the fact that he deactivated his paypal acct and has been
Updating his myspace with new pics of him and his girl tells me otherwise.

Deactivating a paypal acct when you just did a bunch of transaction is a no-no
sign to me.

I apologize for my previous statement. The link you provided in your original post did not show up for whatever reason until just now, which obviously changes my opinion of the situation.

Hopefully it all works out for everyone.


I saw the pics of him and what appears to be his missus, on the Internet as well, so I thought he was alright until he just told me he was living in a shelter and only had his iPhone that can't load HC or RigTalk. He was likely just uploading those pics to cheer himself up. It sounds like he's going through a rough period right now.

Anyway I told him what's happened so hopefully an answer will come through.

I'm glad to hear things are (hopefully) going to be settled. I've always seen him as a friend, and never would expect something like this from him done on purpose.

Yes, thank you Pete. I'd don't mind giving Monty a little time, but I want to here it from HIM on how he plans to rectify the situation, and how much longer he needs.
 
Just wanted to add an update to the situation..

Very happy to report that the situation between Monty and I has been resolved, and quite nicely I might add. Thank you Monty, I'm glad we were able to work it out.

Also, I would not hesitate to buy from him again. Though it almost got ugly, and took a little time, he was very honest about the shitty situation he's in, yet still took care of this problem.

Is this guy's name Monty Jay Fohrenkam? I am having the same problem you guys had. I bought a Randall RM4 from him 2 weeks ago and i haven't heard from him since. I hope he shipped it, but he hasn't responded to any emails.
I'l new to Rig-Talk, but we did this deal over the Randall Forums, where i've been for over a year and have had all positive transactions.
does anyone here know how he can be reached?
