This is the guitar industry now. Paul Reed Smith, who's never had an original idea in his life, is after Gibson, who haven't been a decent guitar company since the 60's, who sue anyone they think they can squeeze for money. We make lawsuits, not guitars! Great news, I seriously doubt I will ever buy a new Gibson and the only use I have for PRS is for bespoke firewood and for making fun of them on guitar forums.

I love Gibson guitars and my 2019 Standard 8s perfect. Not a flaw expect the dude playing it. For years prior to the reshuffle, I almost gave up on them. I have enjoyed their latest offerings.
These brands should be allowed to copy each other. Whatever fans flock to certain brands will prove who is the champion.

Litigation probably makes them more money than new and innovative designs that most guitarists won't buy. Gibson is stuck selling Les Pauls pretty much forever. They are great guitars, just a little spendy for a lot of guys. I really loved the Memphis era guitars. Even toured that factory on my honeymoon. Was a good time. Was sad to see it close down.

When i was a kid if you told me i could have a Gibson Les Paul Custom if i cut off my right arm you'd be looking at a one arm man today.

You might be right but I think his arrogance clouds his vision so to see him lose would not surprise me at all. Honestly, though, I'm confused about what he's attempting to win on the lawsuit. I mean, it's clear that he doesn't like the Theodore being associated to the McCarty name (or brand/product he offers?). But is he doing it just to fuck with Gibson? Is he doing it because McCarty was his "friend" and he doesn't like Gibson fucking with his legacy or whatever? Is he doing it attempting to win money? Not sure.

It may be a straight up pushback from Paul because Gibson is just a bully at this point they have filed so many suits.
I say good for Paul. PRS doesn't need Gibsons dough, they're just standing up to the bully on the block.
If they win it could lead to other wins.

PRS is like the capitalist american version of a communist. Idea thief. That bum has no room to complain. His main guitars are basically a LP DC ripoff wiith a couple contours to the bouts. Let's not even discuss the silver sky. Just hearing him talk about getting Carlos Santana a guitar was enough to turn me off from his company for all time. He's got presidential levels of arrogance.

Seems like he's trying to push back the bullies by being a bully to them. Kind of a power trip I guess. If that is indeed it, seems to me like he's just trying come across as being heroic by being a bully to the bully, but being a bully to the bully is still being a bully. Or he's trying to flex.
I mean, whatever. Doesn't stop me from wanting a PRS S2. Just comes across as maybe he's trying to teach Gibson a lesson, but by doing so, he's kinda becoming Gibson himself.

I can’t even wrap my head around the Silver Nebula and Silverburst claim. They don’t look anything alike and they’e not the same names. I never even would have thought they were close to being related in any way whatsoever. This sounds like some dumbasses being dumbasses for no real reason.
