Testing the waters maybe. Ive always been a Gibson guy [45+yrs]. Not a fan of their corporate sharades that never end & progressively worsen.Seems like he's trying to push back the bullies by being a bully to them. Kind of a power trip I guess. If that is indeed it, seems to me like he's just trying come across as being heroic by being a bully to the bully, but being a bully to the bully is still being a bully. Or he's trying to flex.
I mean, whatever. Doesn't stop me from wanting a PRS S2. Just comes across as maybe he's trying to teach Gibson a lesson, but by doing so, he's kinda becoming Gibson himself.
Not a huge PRS fan but ive had a few. Nice guitars. And they build them pretty well even the SE stuff.
As for who made who, everybody came from somewhere else.
