Since getting turned on to the wet dry thing it has changed playing tone standards. I keep a little combo behind my half stack, it is angled off to the side. It gets delay, para EQ, and an EVH phaser. The sonic width is easy and cool.

Using an ABY to play a MKIIC and DSL together is easy and sounds great. Just rolling back the volume works well. I have noticed just a simple EQ in the loop of the DSL to boost the mids gives a nice little punch.

I like a simplistic good tone much better than gobs of effects. This forum is good for GAS. But it is also good for helping find simple little things to get our existing gear to sound better.

I have been learning a bit more on midi control.

I am pretty sure my next amp will be a Rhodes Colossus or Gemini. It has send and return levels to make it easy to wet/dry. All the selectors mini toggles are midi programmable. It totally gets what Mesa missed with the MKV.

My little MKIIC is gonna stay the grab and go choice, but the NAMM vids of the Rhodes room was amazing. A few great vids of good cleans as well as the crushing high gain it is famous for.

I have actually been selling some gear for a change. I will get one switcher and sell 3 others soon. Gotta replace the post on a JCM900 and see if I can sell it. It is hard to even give away a JCM900.

Been using it as a 2x12 speaker cab... A damn heavy one! Maybe I can trade it for a 2x12 cab. Ya know its bad when you can't even trade an amp for a cab?..

After you have some time with the rig & try some different stuff you will have full control of it. It is addictive.

I actually switched back to using a single amp most of the time again about a year ago. I got lazy I guess ? But am thinking about building a rig around my Fryette Deliverance 120 (dry) & Sig X (wet). I messed around with using both a bit & it sounded amazing. I have a few ideas to try .... I want to base my rack around this rig.

Best sounding rig I ever heard or used .... was using my THD Bivalve & Flexi - each with a 4x12. The punch & harmonics was unreal.

Right On, Pete!!! I've always been adventurous as well, as it relates to experimenting w/ various ways of using gear, and using various gear.

Guys like us (having quality gear choices available), have options-- the luxury to use what is required, and then using the best possible choice for that occasion. I LOVE that! Big gear for Big gigs/tones, various gear for various options, and then knowing how to use it, makes making the best choices possible w/ the gear available-- a reality.

Huge fan of your playing, Tone, demos and I definitely share an appreciation for your take on things. Keep Rockin (I KNOW, you will)
