Moving out, dont have cab.Need DIY loadbox and Line out in 1

So im moving out into an appartment and dont have the room for my 4x12. I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with a schematic or drawing to a load box that also had a line out so I could get the preamp and poweramp tone. Im mainly interested both together not just the load box.

I'd just get a Hot Plate or Weber MASS. This isn't something I'd want to risk my amp's components for, when a MASS only costs what, $225?

I trust my skills of soldering and knowing what im doing. If i can make something comparable with a line out for $50 or less its completely worth it. Dave always knows what hes doing and I trust he'll send me something awesome.

Also im talking about running my amp with no cab at all. I thought the hotplate and mass were just attenuators not dump/load boxes

High wattage resistor. Value equal to transformer secondary, wattage at least 33% higher than the wattage rating on your amp. Heat sink and you are good. Take the line out from the line out or fx send on the amp.

If you want to take the load from the power amp/transformer output instead, then do as I said before, but add another jack and a pad after the load resistor, like this. The box functions like a passive load box until something is plugged into the second jack, then it's an attenuator as well

Well I know how to make a dummy load but I was just curious on adding a line out so I could get the tone of the power amp as well or just the preamp from the effects send.

Both can run at load.
