MTS Tractor Beam

And once again the Tractor Beam is back... as soon as all the amps were shipped I came back to a bare music room and looked around at the sad state of affairs and realized that with the excess modules that ive got and the ones that are shipping to me right now im gonna need another RM4... Oh well they are fairly reasonable in price and are a hell of alot more reliable than the MTS heads and Combo's... Kinda need a poweramp upgrde too.
Anyone know of any reasonably priced 6L6 or EL34 powered power amps out there? I know theres the peavey classic 60/60 but im having trouble finding one, and a dude on the MTS forum offered me an RT2-50 but wanted $650 for it.. Blaa

I would take a look at the VHT power amp; I think there's one FS here

Can you get a switcher & use 4cm with your TSL? That would be phat
 
Hmm Ray never though of running the 4cm with an RM4... Maybe ill try that today..

It looks to me like both of these are 6505+ heads Kapo although theres probably dozens featuring combo's I dont believe there are any major differences other than double the poweramp output and the footswitch on the Combo has 2 buttons and the head footwitch has 3 buttons. All that I know about the amp is the one that been sitting at my preferred guitar shop for almost a year i think by now. I played a couple hours on it and it sounded better than either of those two video's the 2nd video is close to what the combo sounded like but I just dont think a youtube video can really capture all the sound that flying out of one of these amps. I dont know if the 2nd video was done with a mic'd cab but it sounded alot more like the one i played, the one in the first video lacked the chewyness and clarity of the 2nd video and of the real deal.... Id greatly encourage you to go and track one down as its defiantly one of the top high gainers out there.

Oh and does anyone have any experience running two rm4's together? I know its gonna involve Midi and me being a Midiot ill probably need some assistance, so from what ive read and heard the voodoo labs ground control is what ill probably need correct it or something very much like it?

Let me know if you want my stock KH-2 for a loaner. I'll ship it to you special for 125$! I think people might be scared that it is one of those that doesn't seat well but that is just my amp, works fine in slot 3. Excellent shape. That was my plug..

I think if i see another one go for that cheap I'll check it out. There is one available currently going for 600$. Still not bad but also not that great to me either.. I don't really need any other amps. Just fun to try a diff flavour out at times.
 
Ahhh all set on stock mods at the moment, I had the full trio of the KH mods when i got my first RM50 and they all ended up as donors but the KH mods were all standouts IMHO. The KH-2 was not quite as great as the KH-3 for my taste but the KH-1 was perfect for me for a long long time until i decided that it was time for a superclean... got any other mods for sale? Ive got 3 slots filled on an RM4 that I havent payed for yet LOL. But i am always looking for something cool to throw in there..

Oh BTW if you can work out the shipping on a 6505+ combo i know a dude who's selling one for $400, dont know if he's willing to ship but its a possibility, He's the one who turned me onto the guy with the $250 one im grabbing
