Wow, I'm listening to the whole album now and I'm really digging it! Thanks for posting this!

Glad your digging it. I thought it was cool and melodic enough not to get board listen to. Them guys can fucken rip shit up.

bassist looks and sounds like he just snorted a pile of adderall.

2020 version of Stanley Clark.
Very "Return to Forever" ish w/o keyboards

Thanks for the hookup on the video

I dug it. Funky heavy groove.
One can only play so much metal.

I'm not even a Mudvayne fan but I love funk and especially that 'evil funk' like the groove at 2:36 here, very Claypool-ish imo:

Flea's got nothin' on this dude.

There's a definite Holdsworth vibe in there in places, but this is more-melodic. Great stuff!

He's playing my favourite bass brand too, the bugger - Wawrick.

I had to settle on Music Man, but much as I love 'em, the W's have always been next-level for me. Roger McLachlan, ex-LRB bassist and a Helluva-nice guy, insisted I try his Warwick Thumb Bass back in the late '80s when it first came out. He was very-excited about it, and the few minutes I played it were the best two minutes I've ever played in my life. It literally took my playing to the next level, and I haven't played as-well since. No shit! Those damned things absolutely rock.

Too bad I could never afford one.

Exactly what I thought!!! :D

Damn, I hope the crazy eye'd phuck isn't reading this.
His stare just gives me this.
"stab you first,ask questions later"

He's probably a real sweetheart in person whom would give you the tube sock off his cock.

LOL Yeah, I'm sure Flea would understand.

Ryan's slapping style is more-nuanced, and Flea would have to be blind not to be able to see and hear it.

I didn't say that 'though... it was you, wasn't it?

[Points at John...]
"Hey FleaMan... it was him!"

I have always been sad that Ryan did not find more success in more larger bands. He is a killer bassist and definitely deserves it!

Yeah. I always felt his bass put the Mudvayne songs over the top. Digging this.

You have to be specific to which John.

As my ex wife used to say," A girl can never have enough Johns"

Of course, the context of the post meant I was pointing at you. I'll do it again for good measure:
"FleaMan, I said nothing bad about you; it was John... yes, this John right here!"

Apparently they have a new record out called Glint.

Kinda wish Mudvayne would get back together.
:aww:
They were so tight.

That bass tone is straight FIYAH! I love the sound of a fretless too.

I recently picked up a Warwick Streamer Standard for $350 (Ryan played a huge part in my Warwick love) and for being a MIC bass, it sounds like a Warwick. That same, round, tube-like tone while still getting that THWACK when you hit the lower strings. You can find them all over Reverb or Guitar Center all day for around that price. Initially, I was dead set on getting a Music Man, but then I saw the Warwick sitting there and just tapped the low B while it was hanging, the second I heard it ring out I knew what I was going to buy.

Of course, I’d LOVE a German-made ‘real’ Warwick, but I’m getting ready to buy 4-string, Thumb Rockbass Corevette to basically tune exactly how Martini does (CGCG). I’m a firm believer that if you’ve got a good neck and body, the rest is changeable. The cool thing is that these come with the same pickups (MEC’s) and hardware as the high end units. Definitely check one out if you get the chance. I think you’ll be surprised how great they sound and feel at that price point.
