Did up a short tone test clip today using a Boss SD-1 as a boost up front. (I know, I like boosts   )

Channel 2 Orange Vintage was used, at the 150 watt power setting with diode rectifier selected.

Used an old Dokken riff as the sample material.

:)

Sounds great! I'm surprised the Recto/SD-1 combination isn't more popular. I have a Maxon TS and it's nice for boosting the Triple, but the SD-1 with the Recto sounds great, too. Adds some cool bite/snarl to the tone.

sounds great to me.

kinda made it sound marshally!

Sounds Great as your clips always do!
Keep em coming always enjoy them.

Just wondering how that splawn cab compares to the bogner, I've got a splawn but have never played thru the bogner?

Thanks for the comments! I was pretty sloppy last night when I made this and was kind of embarrassed today when I listened back to it today lol.

It's kind of tricky to describe the differences between the Splawn 4x12 and the Bogner Uberkab especially being that they have different speaker sets in them.

My Splawn cab is an older model and I know they have gone through some revisions/changes since then. Mine is a 2007-2008 model.

The Splawn cab is like a woody thunder crack to me, very tight explosive sounding thump. I have an x pattern of greenbacks/H30's in it.

The Bogner Uberkab is one of the newer 16 ohm models with front mounted speakers. The sound is more diffuse and complex sounding to me but not at the cost of tightness it's still very tight and articulate sounding. It has an x pattern of factory Bogner V30's and I replaced the GT-75's with Mesa Black Shadow C90 speakers. :)

Cool stuff Mang!!
I tried to play around with the Orange channel but I cant get past the Red channel. :D
Might have to start flicking around channels a little more. ;)

The Boosted recto has been one of my all time favorite tones.

Sounds thick man. What Dokken tune was that? Doesn't sound familiar at all.
