Multiple heads/ switching options?

Is it possible to run up to 6 heads on 2 cabs, while maintaining the correct load on each head? I currently use a tonebone VT headswitcher and it works fine but does not have the abiltiy to run 2 cabs and only switches between 2 heads. This probably does not make much sense but I want to have the option of switching between the multiple heads and having them power 2 cabs without having to switch all the cables around. It would be great for an amp shootout or just for fun since I have 5 heads. Can it be built? Or, is this a retarded request?

The Egnater Amp head switcher will take 4 heads and run into 1-2 cabs keeping a dummy load on the 3 you are not running through, but wont switch cabs.

My rack or Brads   Ask around, some store in NY carries them now I think. They are about $700-$800

I know it's asking a lot but do you have ( or can provide) pics of the front and back of this unti? I will pay the coin if it does what I want, no problem. Thank you sir.

Yeah I can in the morning. I just unhooked it yesterday and stuck it in my storage rack. I can pop it out and take sum quick pics for ya. No problem.

2 cabs and 3 amps can be switched by this: http://www.soundsculpture.com/products/headtrip.htm
Thank you for the option and the link. Looks like these are $800, pretty close to the Egnater. :)

That does help! Thank you for taking the time to take the pics, Means a lot to me. :2thumbsup: Quick question, Looks like it requires a midi device to switch channels? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks again.

I use a GCP to control my whole rack and amp. I use a RJM RG-16 to switch channels on my Bogner xtc and uber, the Marshall JMP100 is a single channel and the Mesa MKIII is a combo. To run into the combo I just go amp out to the Mesa, it doesnt have to go into amp/ out to switcher / into speaker cab so if you have 2 amp heads and 2 combo amps or any amp/combo combination, it will do that also. Going into a combo amp will eliminate the "line out" so if you use that for a "wet" setup it will cut off and you will only hear the combo amp.

I found the SS4 worked better after the RG-16 (RG-16 fantom power to GCP) but I think I remember the SS4 having Phantom power also. The only thing I didnt like was the wall wart but that is just a personal issue. It is easy to program, just like the M4,Mod50/100, push the button and hold it for a few seconds and it is set for that pedal/button. It does have a midi channel bar inside to choose what channel you want it receiving, like the M4/Mod stuff has.

No problem taking pics, like to help out when I can.
