Music Man pickups?

I noticed the Luke III don't come with the signature DiMarzio Transitions, but with their pickups? (The Cutlass also have MM pickups)

Yep started winding their own to capture more $, not a fan of the Luke's, EMG's or nothing..

Gee, I well remember the day the L III landed and they made a big deal about the Transitions PU's, SL himself being in a video featuring them.

It was the sound of his album "Transition", after all.
