Hi guys!
Can somebody tell me an opinion about musicomlab fcx mk II!I never used a foot controller and I can not decide yet wich brand I should trust.I have a lot of pedals and a tc electronic g major. It seems that the gigrig is one of the best but this musicomlab fcx is very good also.

I just got one yesterday that I picked up used off of TGP and got it hooked up partially. I need to modify my board to raise some pedals up before I put them in the loops. That said I have it switching my Renegade head and M13 right now and it works great so far and very easy to set up as well. Seems to be made solid and the switches seem to be very good quality. It was exactly what I needed to control my M13 a few pedals and switch my head plus give me on the fly control as well without have to get a rack and going the whole GCX route which I'm not a big fan of. This way I can keep everything on my board.

Thanks man! What about some changes in sound quality? Is there any loss in your guitar dynamics or frequencys?I'm looking forward to keep in touch with you and some other musicomlab users.Vodoo lab is one of the best but this product is famous also as I read very few articles. Is much more expensive to build a setup with vodoo ground control.

I wont know until I get my pedals raised up a bit behind the MKII and hooked up to the loops. I have a Fulltone GT500 I need access too to switch between the OD and distortion side and the MKII is bit taller than the GT500 so I need to cut a piece of wood to set my pedals on behind the MKII. I should have it set up by the end of the week so check back with me and I should know by then. That said of the research I did on the TGP of the MKII no one complained about any tonal loss and with the loops being true bypass with a built in buffer you can use if you want ...... I'm not too worried.

The Musicomlab EFX MK II V3.0 does not introduce any noise into the system at all. The only circumstance where you might experience noise is possible interference with the first buffer if you are using fuzz or some wah pedals. In this case, you can defeat the first buffer to eliminate the conflict.

The Musicomlab has two studio quality buffers in it, in Bank A and Bank B. This allows you to run front end effects in Bank A and chorus and echo type effects from Bank B through the efx loop in your amp, while being able to separate the buffering on each part of your rig. This dramatically decreases noise if set up correctly. Also, the new V3.0 EFX MK II has a 10 stage pop filter that is predictive and allows you to eliminate pop caused by noisy effects.

In a pedalboard setup, the Musicomlab could, for instance, allow you to open any combination of loops, change amp channels, send MIDI messages to 5 MIDI capable effects, send up to 8 control change messages, Provide input for expression pedal and more with the tap of one button. Your presets can then be saved to any of the 100 presets (plus 1 global preset) available.

You can download a copy of the new V.3.0 manual here:

We keep V.2.0.x archived, so be sure you download V.3.0

Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me with any setup questions you may have.
