For those with experience, what musikraft neck profile would you say is closest to the old charvel feel?
Getting ready to order my first neck from them.

Old Charvel feel could be about 5 different neck profiles.

They were varied really. Since you're ordering why not order to your specs and not Charvels ;)

I ordered a bunch of Musikraft necks that look Charvel but most I went much beefier profiles.

Don't mean to inject here in OP's topic, but I'm curious. How many, profiles did Charvel
of the USA fame have for their necks? I'm wondering? I always thought it was just one, but
I've only played a couple and they were played so far apart that I didn't notice a difference, or
there was no difference in the necks I played.. Anyway, thanks for the post and the info !
Thanks

I'm not sure.. but I love my musikraft neck I ordered. I am going to try ordering an EVH profile neck next.

I sold my warmoth neck and I'm using musikraft from now on.

I don't have any old charvels but my all time favorite neck, which I thought was a charvel, turned out to be a Jackson wood burn. More of a thin D shape - so that's what I'm gonna go with.

Interesting. I had a jackson reverse headstock guitar and I can't remember the model, but it had the best thin D profile on earth. I actually thought it was much better than the Ibanez wizzard , super wizzard, etc, in my humble opinion. It was thin, but had just enough meat on it or something. Hard to explain of course. I have a Jap Charvel that's just like that in the neck and I love it. It has a Hum in the bridge and single in the neck and a schaller floyd and reverse headstock / jackson type and sounds great also and has that same profile, although not quite as nice as I remember the jackson being, but that could be because I was so shocked at how good that thing was. The best neck profile I think I've played was the EVH wolfgang version which I guess is Asymetrical and I thought it was perfect. It is bigger than some may like but for all around playing it was hard to beat. I might have to do that on the Musikraft neck I get also!
Thanks guys.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. The wizard is very thin, the neck I have is just right

I don't know if anyone remembers the profile on the Jackson-logo'd Strathead necks that went on the Holdworths and a few others. BEEF. Awesome, if you like that sort of thing (which I do - love the old Tele baseball bat necks).
