MXR 10band EQ in FX Loop causing popping, ideas?

chain goes:

FX send --> Boss DD-6 --> MXR Micro Amp --> MXR 10Band EQ --> FX Return

Amp is TSL100

Never used to give me any problems, not sure why all of a sudden i get a "popping" volume difference when i click on EITHER the EQ or the micro amp. Tried switching up their order and still have the same issue. Messed with gains and still had the same issue.

The volume doesnt actually increase when it "pops" but the pop itself is louder than the signal (if that makes sense)

any ideas?
 
Weird.......I've run the 10 band in my loop for a year and never had this problem......figure it out, post it up. I'm interested.
 
Try turning it on and off repeatedly a bunch of times and see if it goes away.
 
I've done that and still sometimes do. It works for me. Why or how I have no idea
 
Not familiar with the TSL amps or their loops at all, but could it be instrument level vs. line level problem?

If so, try the EbTech Line Level Shifter. I had to resort to using one with a rack mounted unit that I really wanted to try through the loop of one of my heads.
