Just picked one up today. I've seen just about every "demo," of it on yt and have read I don't know how many reviews saying this and that.

All I can say, is that after a minute of plugging in, and a quick eq adjustment, it sounds to my ears pretty damm good. It's not rocket science for Chrit's sake.

A good clean platform set sort of "flat," controls just about noon, and I never ran the gain past 11 oclock. Both with and without the boost switch engaged, the pedal sounded imo, very close to the 50 watt amp I own.

Great pedal for home jamming, I'll also bring it to practice to see how it gels. I did the same thing when I got my bogner red a few years back and the pedal sounded great in a live setting. Regret selling it actually.

I'll try to get a clip up tomorrow. Overall, I think they did a killer job at it.

I just got one but haven't tried it yet. Waiting for some other stuff to finish my board.

That pedal seems very cool. I've been considering one of those or a mad professor one to run into my clean channel (powerball v1) for shits and giggles

I really like mine . I`m using it into my VHT Special 6 with an Avatar 2x12 V30/M75 mix , it`s my hard rock bedroom rig. Doesn't compare to my Friedman living room rig LOL but it`s sounds very good nonetheless

Duh. .living room is where it's at!

Ive had mine for a month or so, great pedal, very bright so I turn the treble down low and sometimes the mids as well, get great AC/DC tones to overdrive tones, where we rehearse I run it through a JC120 and it sounds glorious...

I was dead set against it. Until I received one as a gift. It's as advertised. The blue channel from my 5150 III in a box. I think it sounds better at lower gain settings. And it has great harmonics! Don't know how, but it does. It is a bit bright. Love the built in smart gate. With everything cranked up it's close to my Peavey 5150. Has that 5150 fizz thing. Wether you like it of not(I don't. But it's the nature of the 5150 beast). Much better pedal than I expected.

I do not find it that bright at all, unless the eq is not correctly adjusted like anything else.

I have amp eq set close to noon, and the pedal as well. I'm running it through V30's so maybe thats why I am not experiencing too many highs.
Got to get a clip up later on today.

I put off gettin one for the BE-100 coming out!
TBH i am not impressed with EVH products tone/voice
I had his 5150 III 50 watt and the newer LBX
and both are sold.
There is something about the gain i just don't like, which is really insane considering the guy using/endorsing the products had the Holy grail marshall tone?

Right you are - it's just too much modern gain sound to me! Nothing like a modded Plexi to my ears.

How do you guys think the 5150 pedal and the BE pedal would sound with the Two Notes Torpedo Cab?

I put mine in front of my Quickrod and it absolutely KILLS!!! The 2 things that bug me are, 1) they should have made the boost foot switchable, and 2) the quick volume drop when you turn the pedal on.

Interesting , mine doesn`t have any volume drop

I assume you run it into the clean channel?

Agreed the boost should be foot switchable. Seems a no brainier to me.

I don't have any volume issues. I try to adjust the pedal so when it's on it's the same volume as the amp was before. If anything I have to turn the pedal down to get what I want. It turned my Class 5 combo into a thumping little 5150! Took out the flubiness and made it sound like a tight little sealed cab. I'm impressed! And that's a little ten inch speaker! The more I use it the more it sounds like the old Peavey 5150 with the gain and boost cranked.

Nope. 2nd gear. I mostly kick it on for solos.

The volume just dips for a split second when it's turned on. I've heard the same thing happen in youtube demos of the pedal.

I got one and I think this is a one trick pony pedal. I might be in the minority here but I think this pedal only work with a clean channel. I put this pedal in front of my JVM Marshall and when I'm using it with the clean channel then it sound great. If I switch to a channel with distortion then it sound like shit. This is even after I dialed the gain on the amp to a low level.

I think the majority think it should be used into a clean amp , I do at least . Maybe try setting your JVM to an AC/DC type crunch then set the gain fairly low on the EVH and see how it works as a boost.

I believe that's what the pedal was designed for, to play through a clean channel. I received one from my Dunlop rep and he told me to play it through a clean channel, so I did..my VH demo in case you haven't seen it..

Crazy playing, sounds really good! You've got a Suhr neck on an EVH (or Charvel) body? Never seen that before! Great demo!
