I've been looking for a way to boost my leads volume-wise without having to resort to a multi-fx rack unit or an eq pedal. A friend of mine that plays with Bret Michaels from time to time told me to try out this pedal in the loop of my DSL. It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. True bypass and the ability to go from 0-20 db with the turn of one knob. It doesn't color the tone at all when on or off. I know someone here was looking for a way to boost their leads/solos...I would give this pedal a try!

I have always wanted to know how close this is the the Micro Amp. I have used those for years either in the loop for a volume boost or out front for a clean boost.

I had a micro amp a few years ago. It sounded more "twangy" to me than this pedal. This pedal seems to give a volume boost without altering anything else.

I have the boost/overdrive
the boost side is VERY transparent

I've been using the MXC/CAE 401 Boost/Line Driver in my fx loop for the last 3 years to make solos or other specific single string parts louder and I'm just pissed it took me that long to discover it. Solos and fills that used to be buried by the band are now easily heard when I step on that box.

I have one for sale, the MC-402 Boost/OD.
I also have another in my rig, so I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon.
Just have an extra
